The 2005 storm chase season was one of my worst since 1997. I arrived on May 13 but couldn't reach the tornadic cells in time. There was a tornado and "hailfest" on May 12. After I arrived, the upper level pattern changed as a ridge moved in and the chance for tornadic supercells almost completely ended. I was forced to chase very marginal situation across the edges of Tornado Alley. Despite the "death ridge," I did manage to see a couple of supercells, wall cloud and gustnado. I also was able to add to my collection of landscape images.

With the exception of the May 23 - 25 storms, the accounts are boring. I do recommend checking out my images of Monument Rocks (aka Chalk Pyramids) in Kansas on May 16 and my landscape images from May 26 and 27 across New Mexico and Kansas.
