Karibu or Welcome. During mid Febuary, 1998, I spent two weeks on safari in Kenya. This was a wonderful trip and I had the opportunity to observe and photograph many animals including lion, elephant, giraffe and zebra. In addition, there were many beautiful birds and butterflies. Despite the recent El Nino flooding, I had little difficulty traveling around the countryside. The weather was generally nice with temperatures in the upper 60's to mid 70's. I highly recommend exploring Kenya to see the wild landscapes, unusual animals and to meet the many friendly people. Since I made this trip, conditions have greatly improved because the El Nino rains have ended. I divided my trip into several sections below. Click on each photo or text to go to that section.
